Green Travel Flag

March 24, 2026

Catherine Cleary and our Green Schools committee raised our Travel flag on Friday.

The Green Schools Travel Flag is part of the  programme, which encourages schools to promote more sustainable, active, and safe travel choices. This includes walking, cycling, scooting, carpooling, and using public transport instead of relying on individual car journeys.
Earning this flag means our school has taken real steps to reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety around the school, and lower our environmental impact. It also represents a shift in mindset, where students, staff, and families are more conscious of how daily travel choices affect both personal health and the planet.
Well done to everyone involved in making this happen. This flag is not just an award, but a reminder of the positive changes we can make together.
