Applications for the DEIS Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme 2026/27 are now open. This scheme provides significant financial support to students attending an approved Gaeltacht summer course.
Please note: This scholarship scheme runs separately from our Scoláireacht Chaoimhín programme, which is available to Second Year students only.
This initiative is supported by the Board of Management and is led by Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) in partnership with the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
Scholarship funding available:
3-week course: Up to €950 or 85% of the course fee (whichever is lower)
2-week course: Up to €820 or 85% of the course fee (whichever is lower)
Students must already have booked a place on an approved Gaeltacht course before they can apply for this scholarship.
