River Liffey Field Study

October 3, 2024

Today, two Cedar and two Oak boys embarked on a field trip to the source of the River Liffey. Their adventure took them cross-country through Wicklow, where they successfully located the source. Despite getting a bit wet and muddy, there were no major mishaps, and everyone made it back safely.

We then followed the Liffey’s journey to Poulaphuca Reservoir, where we enjoyed some food and worked on our River Worksheets. After tracing the river through the heart of Dublin City, we arrived at Dublin Bay, where the Liffey completes its journey and flows into the sea.
