It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Tom Byrne, former teacher, Deputy Principal and Principal of St. Kevin’s College.
Tom devoted many years of his life to education and to the St. Kevin’s College community. Throughout his distinguished career, he touched the lives of countless students, supported generations of families, and provided outstanding leadership to staff and the wider school community. His commitment, kindness, wisdom and dedication to the welfare and success of young people left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
On behalf of the Board of Management, staff, students, past pupils and the entire St. Kevin’s College community, we extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Helen, his cherished children Caoimhe and her husband Seán, Tomás and his fiancé Keith, Eoghan and his partner Tyler, and Seán and his partner Lisa, as well as his extended family, friends, neighbours and all who mourn his passing.
We are grateful for Tom’s immense contribution to our school and the positive influence he had on so many lives over the years. His dedication to St. Kevin’s College and to the education of generations of young people will be remembered with great respect and gratitude.
